Does size really matter...?

From: Kris Buquet (NewBe1@GlobalLetterBoxing.org) | Date: 2002-09-20 16:33:56 UTC-06:00
Does size really matter.....stamp size that is!

Three questions on stamps here:

1. Do you find it better to have the *raw* stamp, or do you prefer
it to be mounted on something to give it more stability?

2. What do YOU, the individual, think is the perfet size for the
*average* stamp?

3. Do YOU prefer a softer material (Staedler Stamp Cut or Nasco
Safety -Kut) or do prefer a harder surface such as the Mars GIANT
plastic eraser?

Just wonderin'....want to kind of get a feel for what everyone on
the list likes. :-)

thanks

I like mounted stamps better but seldom find them. It really isn't a big deal though.I have seen several unmounted stamps that broke in half or pieces but it does not seem to be a big problem. This has happened to 1 of mine so far.

I like stamps to be any size that can easily fit on a 3" x 5" index card. A small stamp is fine. A stamp larger than this is too big in my opinion.

Question #3. Either one would be fine.

Size doesn't matter to me.

However, I think it helps to get a good impression if larger or softer
stamps have a stiff mounting.
